Linda Evans - The truth about Botox
Botox and ‘fillers’
Hi…… guess most of us who I’d refer to as ‘my generation’ ala the famous sixties Who track….eschew such things as Botox and prefer to be …au naturel……I certainly do.
Meanwhile I’m fully aware that many women and some men in the fifty/sixty even early seventy age bracket have become quite addicted to it over the years since it first appeared and now somewhat neurotically cling onto regular injections of it…..fearing that if they stop …..their faces will drop.
They have every reason to be concerned about it as well.
I recently saw pictures of someone quite famous who had decided to stop and the results were pretty dramatic and quite shocking. In fact a 48 year old woman I know locally who was regularly having Botox injections in her upper lip …which in my opinion made her look like Daffy Duck…..has stopped and I was quite astonished at how different she now looks.
First of all Botox or Botulinum Toxin to give it’s correct scientific name is ….a toxin which was originally developed to treat eyelid spasms that wouldn’t respond to other treatments… it did so by temporarily paralysing them.
Recognised side effects of it can be …when it spreads which could happen in hours or literally weeks after it has been injected can cause breathing and swallowing problems which could be fatal.
A shocking fact but completely true…..at this particular juncture the long term accumulation of this toxic substance in someone’s body is unknown although it has been widely used for quite a few years but it seems obvious that constantly injecting a toxin into one’s body cannot possibly be beneficial.
The aging process physically in terms of the effect on the face is very much down to DNA and of course other factors like good diet and regular exercise.
Expensive so called miracle creams make cosmetic companies an enormous amount of money.
Personally I believe face exercises, coconut butter oil massaged into my face every morning and taking a glug of black seed oil every night before I go to bed works wonders which is why even at seventy years old everyone remarks about how young both I and my skin look.
The moral of the story is…..trying to cheat age with Botox or ‘fillers’ can dramatically backfire long term….wise up ladies…..inhabit who you are gracefully…. spending fortunes on ‘procedures’ is quite honestly a waste of time and money.
Projecting beauty from the inside out is truly where it’s at
