Linda’s poem – some things are unforgiveable

In the Temple
the wrath of Jesus
manifested himself quite ferociously upon
the moneylenders
we’re told
poor old moneylenders huh

a profession which traditionally always gets a lot of flack

in that particular instance
He certainly didn’t turn a blind eye
or the other cheek either
likewise….

neither do I feel predisposed to forgive
my downstairs neighbour
for threatening to stick a knife in my back

I can forgive and forget many things
but I absolutely cannot forgive and forget
that.
