As well as working in private practice I also work as a mental health student mentor at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, as a student counsellor at The Courtauld Institute of Art. I really enjoy working in different environments and the varied experiences they bring.
Long before I had any awareness of counselling or psychotherapy I held a fascination about people, their stories, and what makes us ‘do the things we do’.
As I have moved through life, this curiosity with how our feelings, experiences and the way we view ourselves can impact on how we relate to our self, others and the world around us, has developed into my work as a psychotherapist.
I have a particular interest in creativity, identity and what has made us who we are today. For my Master’s thesis I completed a research project exploring the identity of adults who had lost a parent during their childhood or adolescence. A summary of this research was published in the UKCP magazine The Psychotherapist in July 2016.
I am committed to working on my personal and professional integration through reflective practice, supervision and further training.
